Job summary

California State University, Chico invites applications for a Tenure-track Assistant Professor in Finance in the College of Business. The candidate will join the Department of Information Systems, Finance, and Accounting (ISFA) to teach undergraduate and graduate finance courses and to maintain an active research program.

Salary is commensurate with education and experience. The position starts Fall 2027 and requires a PhD in Finance from an AACSB-accredited program.

Qualifications

• PhD in Finance from AACSB-accredited program required or anticipated by start date.
• Proven potential for teaching and research resulting in refereed publications.
• Ability to contribute to AACSB-aligned teaching, service, and scholarship.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and graduate finance courses aligned with expertise.
• Maintain active research agenda resulting in journal publications.
• Engage in department, college, and university governance via committees.
• Advise and mentor students and support experiential learning activities.
