The Division of Geriatrics in the Department of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Assistant Professor positions in the tenure track. Applicants must have an M.D. or Ph.D. or M.D./Ph.D. degree. Candidates must be board certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine and board certified or eligible in Geriatric Medicine.

Responsibilities
  • Teaching: Teaching residents, fellows, and medical students. Opportunities to participate in educational programs at the UME, GME or post-graduate level.
  • Clinical: Outpatient care in the ambulatory practice and/or inpatient care at Penn Presbyterian Acute Care for the Elderly (ACE) Unit.
  • Research/Scholarship: Submission of grants and writing research papers in geriatrics. Build a research program addressing health services research, clinical epidemiology, decision sciences, clinical interventions, geriatric syndromes, or related areas. Strong potential for NIH, NSF and/or not-for-profit funding; opportunity for industry and philanthropy support.
  • Clinical and educational responsibilities will be synergistic with divisional needs and the faculty member's research and its translation into practice.

  • Board certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine and board certified or eligible in Geriatric Medicine.
