The School of Operations Research and Information Engineering at Cornell University invites applications for a tenured/tenure-track faculty position at Cornell Tech, a research and graduate education campus of Cornell University located on Roosevelt Island in New York City.

We are particularly interested in candidates in the area of data-driven decisions, broadly construed, especially optimization, artificial intelligence, applied probability, statistics and machine learning, both in theory and practice. Though the position is primarily intended at a junior level, we also welcome exceptional applicants in all research areas. In keeping with the mission of Cornell Tech, applicants must also have a strong interest in activities that reach beyond academia for external engagement and impact, in areas that may include technology commercialization and entrepreneurship, or activities with non-profit organizations, government and policy issues, international programs, or pre-college (K-12) education. Applicants for senior positions should have a demonstrated track record of such external engagement.
