Job summary

The University of Georgia invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Exercise Psychology within the Department of Kinesiology to begin Fall 2027.

The position seeks candidates who will develop a rigorous research program, seek extramural funding, and provide high-quality instruction to undergraduate and/or graduate students while mentoring students and contributing to service.

Qualifications

• An earned doctorate (PhD or equivalent) in kinesiology, or related field.
• One or more years of postdoctoral training or equivalent research-related employment as of August 2027.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a rigorous research program addressing important and novel exercise psychology-related problems.
• Seek extramural funding to support research.
• Provide high-quality instruction to undergraduate and/or graduate students.
• Mentor undergraduate and/or graduate students in research.
• Provide high-quality service to the University, state of Georgia, and the field of Kinesiology.
