The Min H. Kao Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at The University of Tennessee, Knoxville invites applications for two tenure-track Assistant Professor positions in electrical engineering, fall 2027.

Candidates with expertise in high-frequency power electronics, analog/mixed-signal/RF circuits, low power and energy-efficient design, or wide-bandgap electronics packaging are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in electrical engineering or a closely related field is required at appointment.
• Strong potential for scholarly research and external funding.
• Effective teaching skills and mentoring of undergraduate/graduate students.

Responsibilities

• Conduct and publish scholarly research.
• Pursue funding to support an active research agenda.
• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in electrical engineering.
• Mentor graduate students.
• Participate in departmental, college and university service.
