Covenant College invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in Ecology/Environmental Biology beginning July 1, 2027. Rank and compensation will be commensurate with experience.

The department seeks a scholar who can teach undergraduate courses and develop an active field research program leveraging Covenant's land holdings in southern Appalachia. Responsibilities include teaching, mentoring students, engaging in scholarship, and participating in campus life and governance.

Qualifications

• PhD in ecology or environmental biology required.
• Teaching experience preferred and ability to establish active field research with undergraduates.

Responsibilities

• Teach sophomore Ecology, upper-level ecology/environmental biology, and a lab for non-majors.
• Oversee Covenant's environmental stewardship certificate program and partnerships.
• Engage in research and scholarship; mentor undergraduates; participate in campus life and governance.
