Job summary

College of Southern Nevada invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Earth Science faculty position beginning in August 2027. The candidate will teach a mix of earth science, geology, and environmental science courses with labs and participate in undergraduate research supervision.

The ideal hire will hold a Master’s degree ( Doctorate preferred) and have demonstrated commitment to diverse student populations and inclusive teaching practices. Salary ranges; benefits described in posting.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Physical Geography, Geology, or a closely related field.
• Two years of teaching experience.
• Doctoral Degree in Environmental Science, Physical Geography, Geology, or a closely related field (Preferred).
• Experience mentoring students in senior-level research courses.

Responsibilities

• Teach earth science, geology, environmental science courses and labs.
• Advise students and perform college service.
• Supervise undergraduate research projects and capstone work.
• Collaborate with undergraduate students on interdisciplinary research.
