Job summary

UC San Diego seeks a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Developmental Biology within the School of Biological Sciences. Candidates may work on developmental biology or regeneration across animal, plant, or cellular systems and are encouraged to pursue mechanistic, multi-scale research.

Responsibilities include building an excellent, externally funded research program, teaching at undergraduate and graduate levels, and participating in service.

Qualifications

• PhD in Biology or a related field at time of application.
• Two concrete goals for scholarly/creative activities in statement.
• At least three publications or preprints demonstrating relevant research.
• Proven ability to contribute to undergraduate/graduate education through teaching/mentoring.

Responsibilities

• Develop an excellent, extramurally funded research program.
• Teach undergraduate and graduate students.
• Participate in service activities.
