Lawrence University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Data Science and Statistics in Appleton, Wisconsin. ABD may be considered; Ph.D. in statistics, biostatistics, data science, or related field is required by appointment.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in statistics, biostatistics, data science, or closely related field by 9/1/2027 (ABD acceptable).
• Ability to teach undergraduate statistics and data science courses.
• Faculty scholarship involving undergraduate students.

Responsibilities

• Teach two undergraduate courses each ten-week term.
• Grade, advise, and mentor students; supervise independent study and internships.
• Lead tutorials and participate in curricular planning and service.
• Conduct and publish research.
• Support First Year Studies program on rotation.
