The Department of Computer Science at the University of West Florida (UWF) invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position. The primary location is the Emerald Coast campus in Fort Walton Beach, FL, starting August 2027.

Candidates from all computing areas are welcome, with emphasis on AI or software engineering and teaching interests in algorithms, databases, OS, and networks. Requirements include a Ph.D.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Computer Science or closely related discipline from an accredited institution.
• Strong commitment to teaching, research, and service.

Responsabilités

• Teach three courses each fall and spring semester.
• Conduct and publish research in AI or software engineering.
• Mentor students and contribute to department service.
• Engage in curricula development and scholarly collaboration.
