University of Georgia invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in row crop IPM with emphasis on cotton, located at the UGA-Tifton Campus. The position is budgeted for 65% research, 30% Extension, and 5% service, with expected start August 3, 2026.

The successful candidate will develop a nationally recognized program, secure external funding, mentor students, and collaborate across departments and multistate partnerships. Minimum qualifications include a Ph.D.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Entomology or related life sciences discipline.
• Strong IPM expertise with applicability to row crops, especially cotton.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for a multidisciplinary team.

Responsabilités

• Develop a nationally recognized research and extension program in row crop IPM for cotton.
• Publish high-impact research and mentor graduate/undergraduate students.
