Job summary

Colorado State University’s Department of Construction Management in Fort Collins seeks a tenure-track Assistant Professor to strengthen undergraduate and graduate teaching and research. The candidate will advise graduate students, mentor student teams, develop an externally funded research program, and contribute to service activities in support of the department, college, and industry.

Qualifications

Earned Doctorate in construction-related field by start date (Aug 16, 2027).
Potential to successfully teach university-level courses.
Potential to publish in academic proceedings and journals.
Potential to establish an externally funded research program.
Minimum of one-year full-time experience in the Architecture, Engineering and/or Construction (AEC) industry.

Responsibilities

Teaching undergraduate and graduate courses that prepare students for construction careers.
Advise graduate students and mentor student organizations/competition teams.
Develop and maintain an independent, nationally recognized research program with external funding.
Participate in service to the department, college, university, and industry.
Supervise a Graduate Research Assistant and/or Graduate Teaching Assistant within allowed limits.
