Boston University’s Department of Mathematics and Statistics in the College of Arts and Sciences invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in computational neuroscience. We seek scholars developing biologically informed models of cognition driven by experimental data, with an interest in collaborating closely with experimental and clinical researchers.

This is a tenure-track position.

Qualifications

• PhD or equivalent in Mathematics, Statistics, Neuroscience, or a related field.
• Ability to obtain external funding to support research.
• Commitment to excellence and innovation in teaching, education, and mentorship.
• Lead an independent research program; engage in collaborative research; teach and mentor; provide service.

Responsibilities

• Lead an independent research program in computational neuroscience.
• Actively engage in collaborative research with other disciplines.
• Teach and mentor students at undergraduate and graduate levels.
• Provide rank-appropriate service to the department and university.
