The Molecular, Cellular and Developmental Biology (MCDB) Department at University of Colorado Boulder invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in computational biology. We seek candidates using AI, machine learning, bio-inspired AI, and data science to study molecular, cellular, and developmental biology.

Qualifications

Doctoral degree required or to be awarded by Oct 31, 2026 in a life science discipline (e.g., neuroscience, biology, genetics, computational biology).
Strong evidence of external funding potential and commitment to undergraduate/graduate education.
Experience with independent research program development and collaboration across disciplines.

Responsibilities

Develop an externally funded, innovative research program in computational biology.
Contribute to teaching assignments and supervise graduate and undergraduate research.
Engage in collegial service to the department and university while advancing diversity and inclusion.
