The University of Florida's Department of English invites applications for a full-time, nine-month, tenure-track Assistant Professor to teach in the B.A. and Ph.D.

programs in British Romanticism and/or early Victorian literature, starting August 16, 2027. Qualified candidates will hold a PhD and demonstrate a record of research, publication, and teaching in British Romanticism and/or early Victorian literature; the position requires teaching four courses per academic year and mentoring

Qualifications

• PhD in relevant field and strong record of research and publication in British Romanticism and/or early Victorian literature.
• Experience teaching at undergraduate and graduate levels and mentoring students.

Responsibilities

• Teach four courses per academic year at undergraduate and graduate levels.
• Advise and mentor undergraduate and graduate students.
• Contribute service to the Department, the University, and the profession.
