New Mexico Highlands University in Rio Rancho, NM invites applications for a nine-month, tenure-track faculty position in the Department of Curriculum and Instruction. The appointment begins January 2027 with a 12-credit-hour per semester load and opportunities to teach in Reading, Bilingual Education, TESOL, and related fields.

Qualifications include a doctorate in Curriculum & Instruction or closely related fields. ABD candidates may apply if completion is within one academic year.

Qualifications

• Doctorate or ABD in Curriculum & Instruction, Bilingual Education, Spanish-related field, or closely related discipline.
• Minimum of two years of PreK-12 teaching experience in public schools.
• Experience with diverse instructional modalities (face-to-face, online synchronous, asynchronous, blended).
• Strong digital and interpersonal communication skills for collaboration.

Responsabilités

• Teach a full 12-credit-hour load per semester (24 credits/year).
• Advise and mentor graduate students and participate in committees.
• Engage in scholarly activity through research, publications, and presentations.
• Contribute to service at local, state, regional, and national levels.
