Western Michigan University’s College of Aviation in Battle Creek invites applications for an academic-year, tenure-track Instructor/Assistant Professor in Aviation Sciences. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in an aviation-related field from an accredited institution.
FAA pilot certification to include a minimum ATP or equivalent.
Significant related industry experience in airline/ corporate aviation, safety, security or human factors.
Excellent communication and computer skills.
Master’s degree and teaching experience are preferred.

Responsibilities

Teach up to 12 credits per fall and spring for 24 credits per academic year.
Fulfill ongoing department curriculum needs in maintenance and development.
Provide leadership and service to academic and professional societies.
Support university operations through committee service and stakeholder engagement.
Assist students with advising, mentoring, and internships.
Encourage student involvement in organizations and internships.
Engage in scholarly activities including research, writing and publication.
