A prestigious healthcare institution in Miami is seeking a tenure-track Associate Professor in Biochemistry. Qualifications
Demonstrated ability to obtain extramural funding and publish in high-impact journals.
Experience in mentoring students and managing research teams.
Experience or aptitude in biomaterials, 3D prototyping, or related translational research.
Responsibilities
Teach and mentor undergraduate, medical, and graduate students, postdoctoral researchers, and medical fellows.
Seek and secure extramural funding, preferably federal, and maintain a high publication record in impact journals.
Establish and manage an independent research group.
Develop new 3D prototyping tools and biomaterials for researchers, surgeons, and clinicians.
Coordinate research proposals and secure extramural funding for the Department of Surgery, Division of Plastic Surgery.
Assist faculty in converting research interests into tangible, funded projects.
Promote interdisciplinary collaboration within and outside the University.
