Penn State University invites applications for Assistant Professor of Agribusiness Management in the AESE department. This tenure-track, 60% teaching and 40% Extension position involves online and some on-campus teaching, advising undergraduates, and building an Extension program with potential national and international impact.

The role requires a Doctorate in a related field, strong communication, and the ability to work across multiple disciplines within Penn State’s community.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in agricultural economics, agribusiness, or a related economics or business field.
• Experience in agriculture, agribusiness, or the food industry is preferred.
• Applicants should demonstrate excellent communication skills and the ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams.
• The ability to engage professionally with an inclusive population of faculty, staff, students, and Extension audiences is required.

Responsibilities

• Teach five 3-credit courses per year in the Agribusiness Management undergraduate program, with most online via World Campus and some in person at University Park.
• Advise and mentor undergraduate students and provide professional development guidance.
• Develop a nationally and internationally recognized Extension program in agribusiness management.
• Secure external funding to support the Extension program.
