Job summary

The University of Chicago Booth School of Business is seeking outstanding scholars to tenure-track positions in Accounting beginning in the 2027-28 academic year. We invite applications from those who hold a PhD (or equivalent) in the relevant field(s) or expect to complete the requirements for a PhD in accounting by July 1, 2027 or soon thereafter.

(We require all tenure track faculty to have a PhD or equivalent.

Qualifications

• PhD in accounting or equivalent by July 1, 2027 (or soon thereafter).
• Ability to conduct original research of exceptionally high quality.
• Willingness to teach effectively and participate in the academic environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct original research and publish in top-tier journals.
• Teach courses in accounting and mentor students.
• Engage in service to the department and program and contribute to a diverse scholarly community.
