Job summary

Arcis Golf’s Twin Creeks Country Club in the Cedar Park/Austin area seeks a Tennis Instructor to deliver quality lessons and clinics, guiding players of all ages to improve technique and consistency.

You will work under Natalie Querin, coordinating with the tennis pro and other departments, with evenings and weekend availability; strong playing background and teaching experience required.

Qualifications

• Strong playing background and 2 years of teaching experience.
• Local/state professional certification and/or license; high school diploma or GED.
• Willingness to learn and perform new tennis programs; excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Flexibility with schedule with evenings and weekend work.

• Develops quality tennis instruction to market to individuals and groups.
• Provides tennis lessons to groups.
• Performs on-on-one private training sessions.

Summary

Provides tennis lessons. Explains and demonstrates principles, techniques and methods of regulating movement of body, hands and feet to achieve proficiency in tennis. Observes students during practice to detect and correct mistakes.

Education and/or Experience

• Strong playing background required and 2 years of teaching experience required.
• Current required local and/or state professional certification and/or license; high school diploma or general education degree (GED); proven instructor skills; and demonstrated outstanding customer service.
• Must possess willingness to learn and perform new tennis programs, excellent communication and organizational skills, attention to detail, drive and motivation.
• Flexibility with schedule with evenings and weekend work required.

Language Skills

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to read and interpret retail product labeling.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or associates of organization.

Reasoning Ability

• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
