Job summary

Calex-Sports-Inc is seeking an after-school pickleball/tennis coach to lead classes for Grades K–3 across the Bay Area. This part-time, in-person role focuses on a positive, engaging learning environment and uses provided lesson plans.

Classes run 1–1.5 hours, weekdays after school, with 2–5 hours per week. You’ll manage 8–16 kids, transport equipment, attend training, take attendance, and communicate with parents.

Qualifications

• Must be 19+ years old upon application submission.
• Local to the Bay Area / US
• Own car with valid driver's license to use at work
• Willingness to undergo a live scan background check and TB test
• Fully vaccinated against COVID-19

Responsibilities

Job Description:

We are a provider of after-school pickleball and tennis classes for Grades K–3 across the Bay Area. Currently, we are seeking dedicated coaches and assistant coaches to join our team. This part-time position involves teaching pickleball and tennis to elementary school children, managing classes, and creating a positive and engaging learning environment.

Responsibilities:

Class Management:

• Can manage a class size of 8 - 16 students with ages ages 5-10 years old
• Teach the pickleball/tennis class using provided lesson plans.

Training and Preparation:

• Attend a two-day training/shadowing session to familiarize yourself with the program.
• Transport tennis equipment to and from class and set up the necessary equipment.

Administrative Tasks:

• Take attendance, sign in, and sign out students for each class.
• Interact with parents and school office staff as necessary.
• Provide feedback for each student by the end of the session.

Documentation:

• Capture a few pictures each session of kids in action.

Requirements:

• Must be 19+ years old upon application submission.
• Previous teaching or playing experience in pickleball or tennis is preferred but not required.
• USPTA/PTR certification is preferred but not required.
• Enjoy working with kids and possess effective classroom management skills.
• Flexibility, reliability, punctuality, and a professional, enthusiastic approach.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Resilient, positive attitude.
• Must have the ability to work independently and within a small team.
• Must have own car and valid driver's license to use at work

• Must complete sending photo and short biography to upload in our website and introduce your experience in sports.

Locations:

Programs are offered at multiple schools across the Bay Area. Candidates must currently live locally and be available for in-person work.

We do have other Programs like Yoga, Soccer, PE, Pickleball, Volleyball, Basketball, Floor Hockey and Dance. You’re welcome to apply to any of these as well.

Schedule:

Classes are 1 - 1.5 hours long, starting between 1 p.m. and 5 p.m., Monday to Friday. Work two or more days per week, with a maximum of 2-5 hours per week.
