Job summary

Baker Tilly is seeking a Seasonal Tax Preparer to join a fully remote team for the 2027 tax season. This temporary role runs February 1, 2027 through April 15, 2027, requiring about 30 hours per week and strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include preparing individual and fiduciary returns (Forms 1040 and 1041), processing client data with tax software, applying firm guidelines, and collaborating with a centralized remote team while meeting deadlines.

Qualifications

• Prepare individual income tax returns (Form 1040 and/or 1041) with related schedules.
• Process client financial data using tax preparation software.
• Collaborate within a centralized, fully remote team environment while managing individual productivity goals.
• Availability to work minimum 30 hours/week (Mon–Fri, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM local time).
• Solid reading comprehension and ability to interpret tax documentation.
