Job summary

IVI RMA North America is seeking a Temporary Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Surgical Center team in San Francisco. This full-time temporary assignment will last approximately December through February/March, onsite in San Francisco, CA.

The role covers pre-operative, operative, and post-operative nursing care with a focus on high-quality patient outcomes. Schedule is Monday–Friday, about 37.5 hours weekly, typically 6:30 AM–3:00 PM with potential weekend coverage.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved School of Nursing.
• BLS/ACLS – required.
• 2+ years clinical nursing experience - required.

Responsibilities

• Provides emotional support to the patient during the pre-operative, operative and post-operative stages.
• Performs all pre-operative and post-operative activities to coordinate surgical procedures.
• Pre-Operative: completes patient pre-operative assessment and documents per policy.
• Surgical: assists in room setup, anticipates needs, conducts counts and hand-offs to recovery.
• PACU: receives patient with report of history and procedure.
• Monitors patient condition post-operatively and reports changes to physician.
• Review discharge instructions with patient/family and answer questions.
• Assist in discharge planning to ensure continuity of nursing care.
