Job summary

HEARST MAGAZINE MEDIA INC is seeking a Temporary Supervising Producer to lead internet-forward video for Cosmopolitan and Seventeen in a hybrid NYC setting. You’ll shape tone, cast, set design, and graphics across platforms, directing on-set talent and guiding post-production.

You’ll write treatments and scripts, collaborate across editorial, marketing and production teams, and mentor junior producers to maintain editorial voice and high-quality output.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in creative video production, ideally with digital-first and celebrity-driven content.
• Experience directing and collaborating with high-profile or A-list talent on set.
• Strong leadership and ability to mentor junior producers.

Responsibilities

• Lead the creative vision and identity for Cosmopolitan and Seventeen video across platforms.
• Develop and pitch original video franchises and shareable formats for multiple platforms.
• Produce and direct video content from concept through distribution, including directing talent on set.
• Write loglines, treatments, beat sheets, shot lists, scripts, and pilots reflecting brand voice.
• Collaborate with editorial, marketing, and production management to translate brand priorities into video.
• Guide post-production, including pacing, graphics, color, and platform-specific execution.
• Manage multiple productions, including budgeting, timelines, and freelancer coordination.
• Oversee and mentor producers and associate producers to foster collaboration and high-quality work.
