Job summary

The Westin Grand Central in New York, NY, is seeking a Temporary Steward for on-site, full-time work. You will support stewarding by cleaning and organizing food and beverage outlets, handling ware, and maintaining dish equipment.

Ideal candidates have physical stamina, good communication, and the ability to lift heavy objects and operate carts. Benefits are provided, and the role is hourly with a competitive rate.

Responsibilities

• Assist Stewarding Supervisor and outlets in cleaning and organizing outlets.
• Sort soiled ware promptly so it can go through dish or pot machines.
• Wash ware quickly and return to storage areas as designated.
• Keep dish machine clean and filled with water per hotel standards.
• Polish silver, de-tarnish, and ensure proper appearance of wares.
• Clean kettles, pots and pans so cooks can work efficiently.
• Adhere to attendance rules and be available to work regularly.

No**Overview**Assist Stewarding Supervisor and Restaurant Outlets in the cleaning and organizing of the Food and Beverage Outlets.### **Essential Duties and Responsibilities:*** Promptly and carefully sort soiled ware so that it can be put through the dish or pot machine properly.
