Job summary

Ahschools is seeking a Paraeducator / Teacher Assistant for a Special Education temporary position through approximately December 23, 2026, working 6.5 hours per day (7:15 am – 2:15 pm). The position can be filled immediately.

Responsibilities include assisting in instruction for students with disabilities in various settings, managing behavior, monitoring progress, and supporting students’ daily living tasks and physical needs.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Good communication, interpersonal, and recordkeeping skills.
• Ability to work with technology and computers.
• Ability to supervise students and take direction.
• Ability to maintain regular attendance.

Responsibilities

• Assists in the instruction of students with disabilities in mainstream, resource room, or centerbase settings.
• Manages behavior (redirecting, calming, or removing a disruptive student).
• Monitors and records student progress in instructional areas (academics, daily living skills, dressing, grooming, social skills).
• Assists with physical needs (toileting, feeding, dressing, lifting, transporting students in wheelchairs).
