Your Role on the Team

This recruitment is for a Temporary Senior Building Maintenance Worker position through UCI's internal temporary staffing department. This is a temporary position within the housing units for our Summer Housing Project. The project is expected to begin in May and continue through September, with exact dates to be determined.

Temporary Senior Building Maintenance Worker (Temporary Sr. BMW)

Covered under University series concept / job specification for classification 8212. Under supervision, incumbents perform semi-skilled building maintenance tasks on a regular and continuing basis in one or more of the trades. Works on operational and / or procedural assignments that are moderately difficult, requiring judgment in resolving procedural issues. Makes recommendations to improve processes and / or procedures.

Pay Rate Range: $24.47/hr - $25.97/hr

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:00pm

Required:

• Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic calculations.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Demonstrated ability to perform semi-skilled building maintenance work.
• 3-5 years Completing minor repairs, fabrication, and renovations in carpentry, electrical, and plumbing.
• Ability to read, write and follow oral and written instructions in English.
• CA Driver's License Required
