Job Duties

Patrol campus, report suspected crimes, accidents, or activities of a questionable/suspicious nature. Responsible for keeping records and preparing reports. Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• A High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time, walk, climb, and lift.
• Meet written departmental directives.
• Required to work nights/weekends/holidays or a shift or location that best meets the needs of the department.
• Must be able to work in inclement weather or weather extremes.
• May be confined to motor vehicle for an entire shift.
• May be exposed to hazardous materials, infectious disease, bloodborne pathogens, steam, car battery acid, loud noises smoke and fire.
• May be required to be knowledgeable and able to correctly use personal protective equipment.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Valid Driver's License.

Preferred Qualifications

• Unarmed security guard licensure through the Tennessee Department of Insurance and Commerce.

Ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with a diverse faculty, staff, and student population.

Pay Rate: $20.00 per hour
