Job summary

The Town of Andover is seeking on-call, temporary staff for plowing events as needed. You will operate town snowplow trucks to perform pre‑treating, plowing and snow removal across assigned roads.

Experience with snow plowing and snow removal is preferred. Ability to operate a spreader for extended periods, and readiness for early starts, weekend duty and holidays are required.

Responsibilities

• Operate snowplow and salt truck to remove ice and snow from roads and assigned areas, with early mornings, extended hours, and weekend duties including holidays.
• Responds in a timely manner when called to assist in snow plowing operations
• Ensures roads under responsibility are adequately and safely plowed when required
• Inspects equipment on a regularly scheduled basis and complies with safety precautions
• Maintains used equipment needed for snow removal
• Follows all safety rules, policies, and regulations; able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Reports all incidents involving equipment’s functioning to Supervisor(s).
