Qualifications

• Must hold Texas RN license or LVN license under the supervision of a School Nurse Consultant
• CPR/AED certification required
• Reliable transportation and valid driver license
• Must pass archdiocesan Safe Environment requirements and background screening
• Must pass Do Not Hire Registry and DPS fingerprint screenings

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care using the nursing process and school health protocols
• Serve as health advocate for students and coordinate healthcare in emergencies
• Administer medications per school policy and procedures
• Maintain and review immunization records and health records
• Supervise nurse aides/LVN staff and clinic procedures
• Report health and safety hazards to the principal
