Job summary

Wellness Together, a California nonprofit, is seeking a Mental Health Specialist to support students and families in Riverside. You will provide individual and group counseling at on-campus sites, conduct intake assessments, develop treatment plans, and collaborate with school staff to integrate mental health services into the school day.

This part-time, in-person role requires a Master's degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or related field, and a valid BBS registration.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or related field.
• BBS registration in good standing required.
• Experience with youth trauma preferred.
• Familiarity with CBT/ACT and evidence-based interventions.
• Ability to collaborate with school teams and families.
• Fluency in a second language preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counseling to students.
• Conduct intake assessments and develop treatment plans.
• Offer crisis intervention and perform risk assessments.
• Collaborate with school staff, families, and community partners.
• Lead mental health workshops for students, parents, and educators.
• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation (HIPAA & FERPA compliant).
• Attend triadic clinical supervision and ongoing professional development.

Schedule:

Work Hours: Monday-Friday, aligned with school hours

Location: On-campus at assigned school site(s)

What You'll Do:

As a Mental Health Specialist , you will:

• Familiarity with CBT, ACT, and evidence-based interventions
• Ability to collaborate with school teams and families
• Fluency in a second language (preferred)
