Job summary

The University of Pennsylvania is hiring a Temporary Employee - Non-Exempt to support the GBM Translational Center of Excellence within the Abramson Cancer Center. The role focuses on coordinating clinical and laboratory research activities, helping to identify biomarkers, and supporting oncologists and study teams in a fast-paced translational environment.

You will gain exposure to biospecimen handling, data management, and interdepartmental collaboration across Penn Medicine.

Qualifications

• Ideal Research Assistant position for a student pursuing health care or clinical research.

Responsibilities

• Provide research support in the GBM TCE and for medical oncologists and study coordinators.
• Coordinate biobanking activities, screen for study inclusion, recruit and consent subjects.
• Learn to handle human specimens, process, bank samples, and ship to collaborators.
