Job summary

Metro Infusion Center is seeking a Research Assistant to provide non-clinical support through data collection for diverse research projects. Under supervision of the Director of Research, you will analyze clinical data, ensure protocol compliance, and support overall study objectives in a temporary 90-day role.

Responsibilities include data entry, equipment setup, ECG performance, EMR uploads, and coordination with sponsors/CROs.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma. Degree(s) in social sciences or health-related discipline preferred.
• Experience in the medical field is preferred but not required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft products and EMR systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Enter data proficiently into a data capture system for sponsors and CROs.
• Request or acquire equipment and supplies for each project.
• Set up, calibrate, maintain laboratory/field equipment per study needs.
• Assist Clinical Research Associates monitoring studies (on/off-site).
• Invoice for payments related to the clinical trial budget.
• Ship lab samples following regulations and protocols as needed.
• Attend project meetings and communicate via email/phone.
• Perform ECGs.
• Upload study documents to EMR chart.
• Track specimen shipments.

Job description

Under the supervision of the Director of Research, the Research Assistant provides non-clinical support through data collection for various research projects. The Research assistant will analyze and evaluate clinical data gathered during research while ensuring compliance with protocols and overall clinical objectives. Responsibilities assigned to individuals can and will change at any time at the discretion of management or the supervisor.

This is a TEMPORARY role with a contract length of 90-days.

Schedule:

M-F (8:30am-5pm)

Specific Duties:

• Enter data proficiently and accurately into a data capture system for sponsors and contract research organizations to monitor
• Request or acquire the equipment and supplies necessary for each project
• Set up, calibrate, and maintain laboratory and/or field research equipment, as specified by the requirements of the study
• Assist Clinical Research Associates that are monitoring each study (on and off-site)
• Invoice for payments associated with the clinical trial budget
• Ship lab samples while following regulations and protocols when needed
• Attend project meetings and communicate with fellow staff through email and phone calls
• Perform ECG's
• Upload study documents to EMR chart
• Track specimen shipments
• Responsibilities may evolve depending on protocol specific requirements

Requirements

Must have a high school diploma. Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution in social sciences or health-related discipline is preferred. Experience in the medical field is preferred but not required. Proficiency in Microsoft products and various electronic medical records systems is preferred.
