Responsibilities

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide day-to-day guidance, leadership, and supervision to undergraduate student staff and student leaders.

  • Assist with end-to-end planning, logistics, on-site management, and post-event assessment data collection for campus initiatives.

  • Manage program records, schedule meetings, prepare agendas/minutes, develop resource materials, and handle electronic file organization.

  • Partner across UCI Student Housing and campus departments to communicate program goals and ensure successful initiative delivery.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Previous experience supporting administrative projects/events and direct experience leading, mentoring, or supervising undergraduate students.

  • Strong skills in Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Forms) with high organizational capability and confidential data handling.

  • Excellent written/verbal interpersonal skills with the adaptability to reprioritize tasks and work occasional evenings or weekends as event needs require.

  • Ability to read, write, and follow written and oral instructions in English.

Preferred:

  • Background working within a college/university setting, Student Affairs, Student Housing, or residential education programs.

  • Demonstrated experience executing medium- to large-scale events and organizing, collecting, and summarizing program assessment data.

  • Familiarity with advanced collaborative workflows in Microsoft SharePoint, OneDrive, and specialized campus administrative systems.

Pay Rate: $27.06/hour

Temporary Employment

This is a temporary employment recruitment reporting to the UCI Temporary Employment Services (TES) Department. Interviewing and hiring is based on internal hiring needs and how well the candidate's experience matches the assignment requirements. Certaintemporary assignments may require clearance of a health physical or require a valid California Driver’s License for driving university vehicles.

The majority of our temporary positions are Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. We also have occasional part-time, weekend, and evening hours available, depending on the assignment. Comprehensive benefits options are also available for temporary employees, including paid vacation, holidays, and sick leave.
