Job summary

MAPEI Corporation in Aurora, IL is seeking a Temporary Production Operator - General Labor to support manufacturing operations across areas such as packaging, labeling, and material handling.

You will perform general labor tasks, stack and organize materials, operate forklifts where applicable, and uphold safety standards in a fast-paced setting. The role requires physical ability, overtime flexibility, and a high school diploma.

Qualifications

• Hands-on work willingness and mechanical inclination.
• Manufacturing/process experience; forklift certification is a plus.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs. independently; up to 100 lbs. with assistance.
• Able to stand for extended periods of time.
• Overtime and shift hours required.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of general labor tasks to support manufacturing operations.
• Stack finished products, raw materials, and other items as required.
• Sort, place, and identify materials and/or products on racks, shelves, or bins.
• Clean and organize production cells, material storage areas, and equipment.
• Operate forklifts, applicable at various locations.
• Adhere to safety regulations and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
• Perform additional duties as required.

Job Description

As a Production Operator - General Labor, you could take on roles such as a General Production Labor Helper, Picker/ Packer, Labeler, Bucket Stacker. In these roles, you’ll support various production areas by performing essential tasks that ensure safety, efficiency, and precision, helping MAPEI maintain its commitment to quality and reliability in the construction chemicals industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of general labor tasks to support manufacturing operations.
• Stack finished products, raw materials, and other items as required.
• Sort, place, and identify materials and/or products on racks, shelves, or bins.
• Clean and organize production cells, material storage areas, and equipment.
• Operate forklifts, applicable at various locations.
• Adhere to safety regulations and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
• Perform additional duties as required.

Position Specific Details

• Base hourly payrate from to $19.00-$20.00 p/hr, based on experience.
• Additional premium shift differential: $1.00 p/hr for 2nd shift and $2.00 p/hr for 3rd shift, if applicable.
