Job summary

Geisinger Heart & Vascular Institute is seeking a temporary cardiology physician to join its growing practice.

Interviews patients, performs diagnostics, designs treatment plans, and may prescribe medications. Work is in a clinical/office setting with standard policies and compliance. The role is temporary with 40 hours per week and rotation shifts in the United States.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree required.
• PA license or ability to obtain PA licensure.
• Board certification/eligibility in Cardiology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients to obtain medical histories and symptoms.
• Perform and interpret diagnostic tests as needed.
• Diagnose and design treatment plans for illnesses.
• Prescribe or administer medications as appropriate.

Job Duties:

• Interviews patients to obtain information such as symptoms, medical histories, and family histories.


• Performs and/or interprets diagnostic tests as needed.


• Diagnose and design a plan of treatment for injuries and/or illness.


• May prescribe or administer medications.


• Prepares, maintains, and reviews records that include patients' histories, examination findings, treatment plans, or outcomes.
