Expect light housekeeping, meal support, and medical reminders in a home setting. Ideal candidates have 2+ years of caregiving, CPR certification, a valid driver’s license, and reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of paid caregiving experience.
• CPR certified or willing to become certified.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record and auto insurance.
• Reliable vehicle to transport client for emergencies.
• Able to provide 2 care-related references from a professional setting.
• Able to clear a background and social media screening.

Responsibilities

• Driving the client (emergencies only).
• Provide attentive supervision to help prevent falls, especially in the mornings and during showers.
• Serve light meals/breakfast for client.
• Medication reminders.
• Monitor glucose, blood pressure, and weekend bandage changes.
• Light housekeeping related to the client.
• Respond quickly by calling 911 and notifying the family.

We’re currently looking for a Temporary Part-Time Caregiver in Pittsburg, CA 94565

A lovely family near Bay Point seeks a temporary part-time caregiver/companion for their 72 year old mother to start Monday, November 16th. Care is needed Sunday through Saturday from 10AM to 12PM for 4-5 weeks, with the possibility of the position extending. The client’s son will be present in the home during care hours. The client is generally independent but occasionally uses a walker and experiences seizures that can cause dizziness, increasing her risk of falls. The family is looking for a patient, observant caregiver who prioritizes safety, provides gentle support with daily routines, and can respond quickly and appropriately in an emergency.

• Start date: Monday, November 16th
• End date: Saturday, December 19th, possibility to extend
• Schedule: Sunday-Saturday, 10AM-12PM
• Compensation: $20 per hour + gas reimbursement when driving the client for emergencies
