Cornell University is seeking a Temporary Parking Assistant to support athletic event operations with exceptional customer service. The role involves processing payments, verifying passes, and directing guests while maintaining safety and organization on game days.

Qualifications

  • Ability to remain standing for extended periods in both indoor and outdoor environments, including during inclement weather when required.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of event policies and procedures and consistently enforce them to promote a safe and positive experience for all patrons.
  • Ability to complete required Workday training modules before the first event shift.
  • Ability to cultivate and develop inclusive working relationships with students, faculty, staff, and community members.

The Temporary Parking Assistant position supports athletic event operations by providing exceptional customer service and assisting with game day parking operations. Responsibilities include processing parking payments, verifying pre-purchased parking passes, directing guests to appropriate parking locations, and helping to maintain safe, organized, and efficient parking services. This role requires strong interpersonal skills, dependability, and the ability to professionally enforce event policies and procedures while creating a positive experience for event attendees.

*Pay: $20.00/hour. Please note that this is a casual position (average of 15 hours or less per week) and is not eligible for benefits or visa sponsorship.
