Alkar Human Resources is hiring Temporary Construction Laborers to assist the Public Works Department on an upcoming building construction project. You will work outdoors on commercial and municipal sites, using various hand and power tools while supporting daily project tasks.

Candidates should have construction or general labor experience; forklift or scissor lift experience is a plus. The role emphasizes safety, reliability, and the ability to work well with others on a 9/80 schedule.

Qualifications

• Previous construction or general labor experience is required.
• Experience operating a scissor lift or Gradall forklift is preferred but not required.
• Ability to lift, carry, bend, kneel, and perform physically demanding work throughout the day.
• Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work well as part of a team.
• Strong attention to safety and the ability to follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Assist with commercial and municipal building construction projects.
• Safely use a variety of hand and power tools.
• Perform general construction labor, including material handling, site preparation, and cleanup.
• Support skilled trades and supervisors with daily project tasks.
• Operate or assist with scissor lifts and Gradall forklifts (experience is a plus but not required).
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site.
• Follow all safety guidelines and Public Works procedures.
