Role Summary

Our client is seeking a Material Handler to join their rapidly growing team. The Material Handler is responsible for accurately moving, locating, and storing materials using a forklift or other powered equipment. The ideal candidate is a team player with previous warehouse or manufacturing experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Operate power equipment safely and efficiently, ensuring certification where required.
  2. Pick and pack items for shipment, including forklift operation if applicable.
  3. Complete necessary paperwork and document project time-tracking.
  4. Restock items not needed in the short term according to procedures.
  5. Coordinate with freight couriers for pick-ups and deliveries.
  6. Label, prepare, load, and unload trucks as needed.
  7. Update the Warehouse Management System with transactions.
  8. Perform daily safety checks and battery charging procedures.
  9. Assist team members to meet customer expectations.
  10. Report issues or concerns to supervisors and team leads.
  11. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma, GED, or three years of relevant experience.
  • Current forklift certification or ability to obtain certification within 30 days.
  • Ability to read and understand instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds independently and more with a team.
  • Physical ability to lift, carry, bend, stretch, and stand for long periods.
  • Capability to climb ladders as needed.
