Job summary

Peoplemark is seeking a Temporary Mall Janitor to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming shopping environment. You will sweep, mop, vacuum, and sanitize floors and restrooms, restock supplies, and handle spills while reporting major issues to management.

The role involves floor care, restroom maintenance, trash and recycling duties, and surface disinfection across food courts and public areas. Shifts run 1 PM to 9 PM on a Wed–Sun or Fri–Tues schedule, with weekend and night work common.

Second Shift: 1PM - 9 PM. Days: Wed – Sun or Fri – Tues. Pay Rate: $14/hour.

Temporary Mall Janitor - A mall janitorkeeps the shopping center clean, safe, and welcoming by sweeping, mopping, vacuuming floors, emptying trash, cleaning/sanitizing restrooms, wiping surfaces, and handling spills, often working early mornings or after-hours using equipment like floor buffers and reporting major issues to management. Key duties involve sanitation, restocking supplies, managing waste, and ensuring public areas like hallways, food courts, and restrooms are presentable and hazard-free for shoppers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Floor Care:Sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors in common areas, food courts, and hallways, addressing spills immediately.
• Restroom Maintenance:Thoroughly clean, sanitize, and restock all supplies (soap, paper towels, toilet paper) in public restrooms.
• Trash & Recycling:Collect and empty trash receptacles and recycling bins throughout the mall.
• Surface Cleaning:Dust, wipe down, and disinfect counters, tables, railings, and other frequently touched surfaces.
• Health & Safety:Use safety cones for wet floors, follow chemical handling guidelines, and maintain a safe environment.

Essential Skills & Qualifications:

• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and equipment (floor buffers, vacuums).
• Strong attention to detail and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good physical stamina, including the ability to lift, stand, and be on your feet for the duration of the shift that includes a lot of walking.

• Adherence to company policies, safety protocols, and schedules (often nights or weekends).
