Job summary

State of Iowa is seeking Licensed Practical Nurses for a non-merit, temporary position exempt from screening. Scheduling options include as few as two shifts per month, or every third weekend with evening (2:00 p.m. – 10:30 p.m.) or night (8:15 p.m. – 6:15 a.m.) shifts.

Pay rate ranges from $30.38 to $39.33 per hour. New graduates and experienced nurses are encouraged to apply. Orientation of 80 hours is required within the first 6 weeks, with a maximum of 780 hours per fiscal year.

Qualifications

• Must be a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
• Exemption from screening and referral requirements as described by Iowa DHS policies.
