Job summary

Pace is seeking a Lab Technician in East Longmeadow, MA for a temporary 3 to 4 month assignment. You will join the sample preparation department of our environmental testing laboratory and support scientists by preparing water and soil samples prior to analysis.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and the ability to work in a lab setting, around solvents, and with PPE. Training will be provided to grow a career in laboratory sciences at Pace.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience in a laboratory or environmental testing setting is preferred but not required.
• Ability to work in a lab or office setting, remain standing for long periods, and wear personal protective equipment (lab coat, safety glasses, gloves) as provided by Pace.

Responsibilities

• Support scientists by preparing water and soil samples prior to analysis.
• Follow established sample preparation procedures.
• Work with solvents and chemicals for sample preparation.
• Maintain and update documentation and databases.
