The Eating Anxiety and Treatment laboratory in the Department of Psychology at the University of Louisville is seeking full-time or part-time Lab Assistants. The position primarily involves assisting with clinical and non-clinical studies centered around the topic of eating disorders.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:
Communicate with clinic research sites, and participants over email, in person, and over the phone;
Assist with project design and organization,
Assist with data collection in the lab, online, and in the clinic,
Assist with grant applications, and entering and coding data,
Supervise undergraduate and graduate assistants,
Maintain databases,
General organizational activities.
Preferred Qualifications
Interest in psychological research and experiences working with clinical populations, strong technical and computer skills, and a commitment of at least 2 year (extendable depending on fit and availability of funding). We are especially interested in applicants who are sociable, self-motivated, organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
Competencies
Requires very good competency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SPSS, Redcap, as well as the ability to communicate with clinical and non-clinical populations. Additionally, this position requires good competency in following detailed research protocols to collect data and supervise undergraduate and graduate research assistants.
Compensation will be commensurate to candidate experience.
