Job summary

PMM Companies is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Temporary Floor Maintenance Technician / General Cleaner to join our team. The role focuses on keeping our premises clean, safe, and welcoming for employees, visitors, and guests.

The ideal candidate has experience operating commercial floor maintenance equipment such as walk-behind scrubbers, burnishers, and buffers, adheres to safety protocols, and takes pride in maintaining high cleanliness standards.

Qualifications

• Prior experience operating walk-behind floor maintenance equipment is required.
• Detail-oriented and reliable with a focus on cleanliness.
• Able to work safely in a facilities environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform general cleaning including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming all areas of the facility.
• Clean and disinfect restrooms, including toilets, sinks, and fixtures.
• Empty and dispose of trash and recycling bins regularly.
• Wipe down and sanitize surfaces, such as desks, countertops, and door handles.
• Monitor and restock cleaning supplies and toiletries as needed.
• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment, such as vacuum cleaners and floor scrubbers.
• Report any maintenance or repair needs to the Facilities Manager.
• Assist with setting up and cleaning up after events or meetings.
• Follow established safety protocols and guidelines while performing cleaning tasks.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding cleanliness and hygiene standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
