Veloz in Stockton, CA is seeking a Freight Handler for a temporary assignment to unload freight, sort by PO and SKU, and operate material handling equipment under supervision.
You must be able to lift up to 75 lbs, pass background checks, and work a fast-paced environment. Overtime and weekend work may be required; safety SOPs must be followed.
Reporting directly to the Supervisor or Area Manager, the Freight Handler position is a temporary, short-term position, which is responsible for unloading freight, with or without manual or powered equipment in a safe and efficient manner, at the direction of the Supervisor and/or Area Manager. Using manual operations and applicable material handling equipment the position is charged with the movement of freight, stock, or other materials or perform other general labor.
This is a temporary, short-term job assignment.
A temporary freight handler may make anywhere within the range of $15 - $20 per hour, based on specific job assignment and location, but will not make less than minimum wage for the specific location in which the temporary employee is working.
