Job summary

TEGNA Inc.'s WFAA-TV in Dallas is seeking a full-time Video Editor to craft compelling content for television, social media, and digital platforms. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, technically savvy, and able to meet tight deadlines while delivering polished edits.

You will collaborate with news producers, reporters, photojournalists and the digital team, apply graphics and new media techniques, and maintain high storytelling standards across broadcast and online channels.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of non-linear editing systems (Edius, Premiere, Photoshop).
• Interest in broadcast and digital news content.
• Must be deadline-oriented and able to work under tight schedules.
• Must be able to work early mornings, nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

WFAA-TV, the TEGNA-ownedABC affiliate in Dallasis looking for a full-time Video Editor to join our team.

The ideal candidate is proficient at creating captivating and shareable content for television, social media, and mobile platforms.
You must be a self-starter who is technologically savvy and can work under tight deadlines.

We are looking for individuals who possess a keen artistic eye, a deep understanding of editing and photography techniques, and a passion for storytelling.

Responsibilities:

• Use editing tools to create content for Newscast and Digital platforms.
• Use creative production techniques such as graphics and new forms of media (viewer pictures, webcam interviews, etc.) to enhance stories.
• Work closely with news producers, reporters, photojournalists and the digital team.

Requirements:

• Knowledge of non-linear editing systems using Edius, Premiere, and Photoshop
• Interest in broadcast and digital news content
• Organizational skills and the ability to work under deadline pressure
• Must be deadline-oriented, maintaining quality while staying on tight schedules
• Must be able to work early mornings, nights and weekends
