Job summary

Advatix, Inc. in Michigan is seeking a reliable Forklift Driver to join our hardworking warehouse team. You will move, locate, and store materials using a forklift or other powered equipment, ensuring accuracy and safety in daily operations.

The ideal candidate has prior warehouse or manufacturing experience, can read and follow written instructions, and holds forklift certification (or will obtain it within 30 days). Physical stamina is required for lifting up to 40 lbs and long shifts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Previous warehouse or manufacturing experience is required.
• Current forklift certification or the ability to become certified within 30 days required.
• Must be able to read and understand written and verbal instructions.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Able to lift up to 40 pounds alone and greater weights in a team-lift environment.
• Capable of lifting, carrying, bending, stretching, and standing for long periods.
• Able to climb ladders as needed.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate forklift and other powered equipment.
• Accurately pick and pack items for shipment.
• Complete paperwork and time-tracking documentation.
• Restock items per established procedures.
• Assist with contacting freight couriers for pickups and deliveries.
• Label and prepare items for shipment; load/unload trucks.

• Perform daily safety checks and battery charging procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Support team in meeting customer expectations.
• Report issues to supervisor.

Role Summary

We are seeking a Forklift Driver to join their rapidly growing team. The Forklift Driver is responsible for accurately moving, locating, and storing materials using a forklift or other powered equipment. The ideal candidate is a team player with previous warehouse/manufacturing experience.

Key Results Areas

• Safe & efficient operation of all the power-operated equipment that requires certification
• Accurately pick and pack items for shipment, potentially with a forklift
• Complete required paperwork and project time-tracking documentation
• Ensure all items not needed short term are restocked according to established procedures
• Assist with contacting freight couriers to schedule pick-ups and deliveries
• Label and prepare items for shipment and load and unload trucks as needed
• Update the Warehouse Management system with transactions
• Perform daily safety checklist and standard battery charging procedures
• Assist team members in meeting and exceeding customer expectations
• Update supervisor and team lead on issues or concerns
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Other tasks as assigned
