Green Chimneys in Brewster, NY seeks a Temporary Floating Farm Teacher Aide/Assistant to support Wildlife Center, Teaching Barn and Garden classes, stepping in when teachers are absent.
You will assist in wildlife, barn, garden and equine classes, help maintain the farm, and participate in school and farm events as part of our nature-based education programs. This is a temporary/seasonal role with pay DOE at $16.01–$21.35/hour; NY TA certification (or ability to attain) and CPR preferred.

The FarmProgram Floating Teacher Aide/Assistant is assigned to support and/or substitute for teachers in the Wildlife Center, Teaching Barn and Horse Barn, and Garden in the absence of teachers in these areas as directed and assigned by the Assistant Director of Nature Based Education. The position also supports all aspects of the nature based education program, which includes but is not necessarily limited to assisting in wildlife classes, teaching barn classes, garden classes or equine classes, learn and earn farm programs for children with special needs. Participates in maintaining the farm and assists in school and farm special events.
This is a temporary and not benefit eligible role. The rate of pay for this role is $16.01 to $21.35 per hour DOE.
